Buck 5,364
Robinson 4,427
Wood 1,650
Carvalho 1,244
Hoeffgen 5,369
Kimble-Simms 4,160
Buck wins an astounding 6% of the registered voters as off-year elections prove once again primarily to benefit the campaign consultants.
Price per vote in the mayoral: $82.
Next question: who will council pick to finish up Buck's coucil term? Cato? Carvalho? Thomas?
[UPDATE: Buck, on Robinson: ' “I’m appreciative of his service for the past 26 years,” she said. “I hope he feels he ran a good race.” ' (RJ)]

It will be interesting to see how Mayor-Elect Buck proceeds in her first two years. The coalition will be Robinson, Eliason and Wood. It will be interesting to see who is picked to fill the Ward 4 seat. I think the odds are that it will be either Planning Commissioner Cato, Dean Levitt, or former candidate Richard Cherchio. Eliason, Robinson and Wood will not pick Ned Thomas.
If it ends up being Richard, there will be a lot of 4-1 votes on council, with the Mayor being on the losing side almost always.

Ned Thomas has made it clear that he not interested in any way, shape, or form. It should be obvious that he supported Shari Buck for Mayor so that someone decent like Richard Cherchio could be appointed to her seat. Too bad we aren't replacing corrupt Will Robinson - we have to wait two more years to celebrate that great day. We should find a replacement for silent Robert Eliason, too. He rarely has anything to say at Council meetings, and now everyone knows that he is just Robinson's stooge. Let's hope Anita displays some courage and independence.
