Got a ton of mailers from incumbent Ward 2 candidate William Robinson last week. Just thought I'd share:
This one tells us about all that well-planned, quality growth, and all that community spirit he's been fostering in Ward 2, just in case you missed it: Front Back. That thing in the picture is called a "park" in case you Ward 2 folk haven't ever seen one before.
The next one tells us that "first responders" support the Councilman--at least while those contract negotiations are going on. Front Back. Oh, and in case you Ward 2 folks have never seen them before, either, those are "police cars" and "ambulances" in the pictures. The first protect you from crime and the second take you to a hospital when you're sick. If you're ever up Aliante way you might see one.
The next one makes the odd claim that Robinson is "reducing traffic." That's an odd claim for anyone to make in a boom town like Nor'Town where we're adding population and hence cars to the roadways at an incredible rate. I suspect he meant he's reduced traffic congestion, though that's a bit hard to believe during the morning commute. That slogan also leaves out the bit about how the city council is allegedly reducing traffic: by pushing higher density development which would make people walk and take mass-transit more. The last one has a disturbing picture of the councilman sporting some face fungus. You can get a closer look, if you really want to, by clicking the picture above. In this mailer, Robinson promises Ward 2 folk a new library, though I believe that's waiting on state money from the legislature and is kinda out of his hands. Front Back.
