It's been noted before, but the fact that it is still happening this close to an election which could actually lead to a Democratic majority in the Senate is beyond reason.
Senator Harry Reid's official tax-payer funded website is full of all sorts of news about pork that he's sending to us. I don't mean Reid, I mean the junior Senator from Nevada, Republican golf pro John Ensign.
Have a lookee at the Reid site especially in the upper left corner where it says "Latest and Greatest." There you will learn that "Reid, Ensign" are throwing money at northern Nevada airports and that "Reid, Ensign" found some pork for DNA testing in crime labs. And as late as September, 29, 2006, there's a press release about how "Reid, Ensign" are fighting for Homeland Security.
Perhaps the Minority Leader should change the name of his website to reid_ensign.senate.gov. And why not offer Ensign access to the old war chest at the same time?
