Dem Wannabes: Mid-Western Missed Opportunities

The BIll Richardson "Westerner from the Mid-West" show blew through Nevada yesterday. The Governor, Ambassador, etc., had a Q&A with the Sun.

Now, assuming that the Nevada Democratic Caucus won't fizzle out like the bubbles in a $100 Vegas designer cocktail, I can't help but thinking that Richardson didn't make much use of the Nevada blogosphere. John Edwards' people scheduled one-on-one interviews with bloggers and their guy when he did the obligatory Gibbons' Country Announcement Tour. I didn't take them up on the offer because it entailed a trip to High Gibbons' Country and that place not only gives me the willies but requires a 2-day trip back and forth. This ain't puny little New Hampshire, for Pete's sake, where you walk through the state in an hour or two--if you got snowshoes. So, I would propose to future Gibbons' country announcement tour-ers to offer up e-email interviews with Nevada bloggers who can't make the face-to-face meetings. This would also help out the Northerners when the candidates make the "trolling the Vegas strip for cash" tour down here.

Assuming anyone cares what the Nevada blogosphere spews and assuming winning the Nevada Caucus will actually count for something, natch.

Speaking of the Nevada blogosphere, Millionaire Molly and Steve Tetreault used a story about a friendly e-mail Dullard Mush got from Reputation Defender trying to erase the naughty bits from failed State Treasurer candidate Geoffrey VanderPal's sordid past in their column today. Reputation Defender makes it's living trying to erase all those dirty little electronic footprints we leave on the Internets--and you can see how well that's working out. Frankly, I can't wait until the Governor hires 'em and they contact me....

Oh, and Ralston? Yeah, somebody did notice the Sheldon Adelson Corporate Governor's trip to the the Sheldon Adelson Tax Shelter Drug Rehabiliation Clinic. Couple days ago. WIth pics.
