San Diego prosecutors will likely indict CIA official Kyle "Dusty" Foggo and Defense Contractor Brent Wilkes on felony charges related to the bribery case of former Representative Randy "Duke" Cunningham (AP):
"Another co-conspirator of the crew, Mitchel Wade, pleaded guilty in February 2006 to bribing Cunningham.
"Federal law enforcement agencies and intelligence officials have been investigating whether Foggo improperly awarded contracts to Wilkes' companies, including a multimillion-dollar contract to supply bottled water for CIA operations in Iraq.
"A House Intelligence Committee report on Cunningham's activities released last November said he steered $70 million in contracts to Wade and Wilkes. The report also said more investigation is needed into Foggo's dealings with the intelligence panel, given his close relationship with former committee aide Brant Bassett."
Brant "Nine Fingers" Bassett connects Governor Gibbons to the sorry mess. They worked closely together when Gibbons was on the House Intelligence Committee. So, will the feds be coming after the Gube next, or was this the reason why the White House was in such a hurry to dump it's D.A.'s: to cover up the spreading scandal of the CIA bribery schemes?
There's lots of background on the story over at TPMmuckraker.

Rumor has it that Cunningham is lonely and wants to talk.

Back in Oct or November, I think it was Taylor Marsh who wrote that Nine Fingers was actually on Gibbons' staff. I don't recall that point ever being raised by any Nevada pape. I'm pretty sure staff is a matter of public record. Wonder if, between game show appearances, some of our inTreppid reporters might look into this...

"InTreppid"? As in Warren Trepp's eTreppid Corp who funneled massive amounts of campaign bribes to Gibbons... in return for even more "massiver" federal govt kickback contracts.
