• Now that the Governor has instilled all of us with such confidence in his judgment, he'll be asking oh, so sympathetic lawmakers for $800 million in budget cuts, which includes 14 to 20 percent in cuts. (AP,Sun)
• Sigh. I'm gonna miss Dina Titus beating up on the Gube. Said she of the NSAGE commission, which the Gube thinks  will find money for tax cuts: "I don't think anybody is going to look for a tax cut," ... "Right now, we're looking for ways to fill a hole in a budget. We're not in any place to cut taxes, but maybe, hopefully to avoid future cuts in programs and holes in the budget." And of the news that the commission will be stuffed with Gibbons' bidness buddies and cronyies: "If it's already started like that, where he has handpicked the people with his agenda, then I don't think it will be credible," (RGJ)
• With the announcement of a possible 70 cases of  hepatitis caused by those dirty butt-probes, area pundits remind us of how Gibbons wanted to blame it all on the media, as opposed to failed state inspections. (VTS,INP,LVG)
