Horsford Not Pleased About Special Session

The leader of the Democratic Caucus in the state Senate, Steven Horsford (or simply "Horsford' as he's known to his pals), was a bit miffed at not being consulted about the special session. For a press release:

“Today, Governor Jim Gibbons and the Republicans have acted unilaterally to decide the fate of Nevada ’s budget without including the rest of the state’s elected leadership. Rather than offer a solution that balances the budget responsibly through the Interim Finance Committee process, they propose to waste taxpayer dollars by calling for a special session.

The state of Nevada is in a budget crisis and the people we represent expect real solutions and not political maneuvers.  This action from the Governor and the Republicans in the legislature is just more of the same divisive politics at a time when we need solutions and leadership.”

Course, with Gibbers in charge, there isn't going to be any leadership coming out of the Gube manse any time soon. So, perhaps the Democrats should consider filling the void and offer up a comprehensive budget plan for the next decade all built on a stable range of taxes on a broad range of sources, like businesses, mining, gambling, and our patriotic whore houses.

Gibbons is bereft of ideas and he said no solution is off the table. Show the Gube and old man Willy how to govern.

Hey, no point in telling us the Governor is trying to change the subject from the train wreck that passes for his personal judgment. We know that already. So, he's irrelevant. We knew that already, too.

Shove the pathetic turd aside and get to work.

Hey Kids! The man with the glazed look is on Vigilant Guard! Or declaring war on Idaho. It's not clear which.

Most likely declaring war on Idaho to pull any suspicion away that he might actually fuck up things like needed road improvements in our state.
I live in Pahrump and a road widening to alieviate up hill traffic on the Las vegas side of Spring Mountain was scheduled. It has now been put on hold.
So now I have to wait longer, and maybe die on Highway 160 because we have a stupid asshat of a "Guvner" that couldn't find his ass with both hands and dosen't want to tax his buddies in the gaming industry, or anyone else for that matter.
He should be really proud of his work for the state of Nevada.
