Apocalypse Near

I'm almost sure this is one of the signs of the Apocalypse:

Gov. Jim Gibbons said today that “nothing is off the table” and that even tax increases might be required to deal with a growing state budget deficit.

and...

“We are going to have to look at some of our revenue (sources) and see if that is an option,” said Gibbons when questioned by reporters whether he would support tax increases. “I don’t want to raise taxes, as everybody knows. It would be a terrible thing in a time of recession.” (RJ)

It looks like the Gube has been researching those election returns, and doesn't like those two (three, if you count Carson City County) blue counties that gave Obama Nevada. I'm guessing he's decided that catering to  desiccated Tahoe elites is not the sure road to the Gube house it once was and is sprinting to the center.

Either that, or he's been in the sauce again.

Or he's setting up the ever gullible state Dems.

So, how far will the Gube go to win reelection? Crank up the gaming tax? Up them mining fees?
