Elect Gibbons, Or the Terrorists Win!

Just when you thought the loonies were on the run, Jim Gibbons opens his mouth and assures us that he'll be following the discredited Bush-Rove-Rush playbook of the past in the Deathrace 2010 Gubeathon.

Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons says more Democrats in office could affect the state's homeland security efforts. Gibbons says if funds are cut, it will hurt Nevada's efforts to stop a potential terrorist event. (KLAS)

Yep. He's said it. A  vote for Democrats is a vote for terrorism! Democrats are secretly in league with terrorists to destroy the nation!

And the only way to stop it is, like Sheldon Adelson, to cut a check for the reelect the goof fund.

Make no mistake about it. That's the whole point of the stupid tirades. To shake checks out of desiccated wingut Incline Village defense contractor/mining/casino fatcats. That's why he added the tacit threat:

The governor adds one terrorist incident anywhere in the state will affect the economy of the whole state, "The security of the state is affected by what we can and cannot do financially."

Yep. If you don't cut the Gube that check, the terrorist Democrats will blow up your mine/casino/defense contracting business and ruin Nevada's economy!

Um. Just like Gibbons did. But he didn't need terrorists to do it. Give him that much.

And you thought the last election season seemed to go on forever.

Let's see. I'm trying to remember some of the Goober's homeland security triumphs. Like pushing for an unnecessary third terrorism "fusion" center in Carson, when law enforcement was happy with two, one in Reno and one in Vegas. Don't forget Gibbons' first appointee to the Nevada homeland security job. He resigned in disgrace after misleading Nevada's congressional delegation about law enforcement wanting that Carson fusion center.

And what was it that happened to the guy that used to run the state public safety office? Oh, yeah, something about being fired because the Fallon office lost track of some guns and dope.

Then there was the primordial sin, or, rather, the late night first lie, of the Gibbons' administration. You remember. The bit about having to take the oath of office at midnight to protect Nevada from Islamofacists. Or at least from Kenny Guinn's appontees.

Man, Osama bin Laden couldn't have done a better job on Nevada.

Yes, an act of terrorism will take out the state. The act(s) have already happened, and it occured under a Republican Congressional watch where JAMES A. GIBBONS aided and abbetted the dealyed action fuse!Oh, and a Democratic president helped.

Nevada is seriously, seriously, fucked! To wit;

Harrah's borrowed $1.4bn in July to make what in effect is a mortgage payment...they have another like size payment due in Feb 2009. More than likely in today's frozen credit they may not get another loan. Harrah's owns half the Strip! Does it sound like bankruptcy is on their minds?

MGM had to go secure, is still securing, $1.4bn for themselves to pay off loans and finance a few things. Tick...tick....tick..

Las Vegas Sands corp announces today that it will most likely default on several loans. Does that sound like bankruptcy is on their minds?

OH! and the company that owns the shopping malls in the Palazzo and the Venetian AND owns The Fashion Show Mall lost millions last month; is for sale; and may go t$#s-up.

Thanks to the Republican Revolution of Phil Gramm and his co-conspirators, which include President Bill Clinton (and now Obama wants the same economic advisors?!??!?!!? WTF?!), and Nevada's own John Ensign and JAMES A. GIBBONS.

Yup, those 2 pieces of legislation of 1999/2000 + the increased leverage rules promulgated by Bush's SEC Commissioner Cox, were an economic terrorist attack on America with collateral damage now rippling through Nevada.

Beers and Heck ought to be very thankful that they lost this election.
